Central Auditory Processing Disorders Assessments (CAPD)
Auditory processing disorder (APD), also known as central auditory processing disorder is an umbrella for a variety of disorders that affect the way the brain processes auditory information that is what the brain does with what it hears. With this condition children and adults may not be able to process what they hear in the same way others do because their ears and their brain do not fully coordinate. This interferes with the way recognizes and interprets sound especially speech.
We provide screening (ages 5-8) and full diagnostic Central Auditory Evaluations for ages 8 to adult.
